| Comments: | I have been studying the linguistics of both, the English and Spanish languages in depth. I have also taken a great number of English>Spanish and Spanish>English Translation Courses including legal and general print media translations from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela. I have earned a Translation Certificate from Metropolitan State College of Denver, Denver, CO. Coursework included legal, medical, literary, technical, and print media translation. My continuing education includes a Translation Software Tools Seminar from the American Translators Association, and Court Interpreting Orientation offered by the Court Interpreting Program of the Colorado State Court Administrator’s Office. I worked as a Spanish Tutor at Metropolitan State College of Denver Tutoring Center. Volunteered translation work for Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA). In this volunteer work I Translated legal contracts, PowerPoint presentations, and abstracts, as well as proofread translated geological abstracts. I recently collaborated as an Independent contractor for TransPerfect Translations. |
